Sigiriya

Sigiriya, also known as the “Lion Rock,” is one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic UNESCO World Heritage sites. Built in the 5th century by King Kashyapa, this ancient rock fortress rises nearly 200 meters above the surrounding plains. It is renowned for its advanced urban planning, landscaped gardens, mirror wall, and vibrant frescoes. Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth Relic)

Located in the historic city of Kandy, the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is one of the most revered Buddhist sites in the world. It houses the sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, which has long symbolized sovereignty and spiritual authority in Sri Lanka. The temple is also the focal point of the annual Esala Perahera, a grand cultural procession featuring traditional dancers, drummers, and beautifully decorated elephants.

Yala National Park

Yala National Park is Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife sanctuary, offering a diverse ecosystem of forests, grasslands, and lagoons. It is especially known for having one of the highest densities of leopards in the world. Visitors can also spot elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species.
